Gov. Sanford Names Appointee to SC State Board of Trustees
Columbia, S.C. - Gov. Mark Sanford today appointed Dr. Jackie Epps of Columbia to the South Carolina State University Board of Trustees.
"Dr. Epps has a stellar record of success in the corporate sphere, having overseen the development of an array of products for Kraft and General Foods, and I have every reason to believe he'll bring the same insight and eye for efficiency to South Carolina State's Board of Trustees," Gov. Sanford said. "Many government agencies and institutions across South Carolina have had to readjust the way they do things in these tough economic times, and South Carolina State has been no exception. In that regard we think Dr. Epps will bring a fresh perspective, and I'd simply thank him for his willingness to serve and the dedication he's shown over many years to both the University and the state as a whole."
